It has affected the lives of many men, women and children through its work on education, health, environment, relief supplies to internally displaced persons among others things.

He added that despite its lean resources, ZPF has supported many young men and women to further their educational aspirations. ZPF has organized a series of training for them to pass the JAMB exam and secure admission into our tertiary institutions in the country.

In the area of health, we have intervened in many important ways especially the rehabilitation of some sections of the Martha Bamaiyi General Hospital, Zuru and the Medical outreach interventions have permitted ZPF to support many sick persons in the four local government areas of Zuru, Danko Wasagu, Fakai and Sakaba.

He further stressed that ” An important pillar of our work has been the provision of relief supplies to internally displaced persons affected by banditry attacks.

The forum has worked tirelessly in the area of environment through its tree planting campaign. Thousands of trees have been planted in many schools to provide shade as well as protection against wind and erosion in the affected schools, he explained”.

Equally, I wish to state that ZPF will continue to expand these interventions. The support of all stakeholders is therefore crucial for success. I take this opportunity to thank all the donors of ZPF. We value their support and tremendous efforts.

We need to forge partnership with key development actors, both government and non governmental, to ensure success in reducing the scourges of poverty, unemployment, insecurity and environmental degradation. Identify the needs of the Zuru people and do some meaningful engagement with political elite, state and LGAs for the development of Zuru land.
