Martin Egwe is a regional first vice president west Africa Action Network on Small arms (WAANSA) have described the issue of state police as something that is becoming  an issue of  serious concern.

Revealing this to news men in Kaduna Northwest Nigeria Mr Martin Egwe, revealed that

“they are calling on Nigerians to reject state police for a single reason that we have a Vigilante that are already there doing the work of state police and more over the vigilante oeople are doing very well, the state police commissioner of police and the Governors are using them on intelligent gathering watch Katsina, Sokoto and Zamfara state they are doing well which if they are not doing well the state will not just look at them rather working with them there in their state”.

What we need now is to straighten police and community policing form an alians with Vigilante by giving them the proffer training especially on digital training because if you watch what is happening now Technology have taken over most of the security activities

give them the necessary training and stop the issue of calling for state police.

“I was watching a former senator if the federal republic by name Senator Etta Innang as saying that for a state police to work, the Nigeria Civil defence (NCDC) should be dissolve, without considering how many thousand if people will lose their job working with civil defence that is why we are calling on all people to stand up and reject the creation of state police, because the vigilante are very relevant they are experience and they are co- ordinating with state authourity to see the issue of conflicts in Nigeria reduced to the viarest minimum or totally eliminated

While, ” I can tel you that the statistics is insighting because any Foreign investor that want to come to Nigeria and eventually hard about that figures they can only run away to some neighbouring countries either to Niger or anywhere that your money will be safe. I dought that data in totality with this I am calling on national security adviser to lias with the national bureau of statistics and get a real data that can be work with even internationally. Because to tell me that 200 million arms are there in circulation in Nigeria is that the real one that we can use with? that is why we are calling on the relevant authourity to do the needful for a single reason that we cannot work on the non existing data”.

Martin Egwe said “their association is a network of NGO’s that is working with all relevant authourity to enhance security in west Africa, we have WAANS Nigeria WAANSA Togo WAANSA Cote dvore WAANSA Burkina fasso and the regional president is from Cote dvore under small arms division Ecowas Commission”.
