AVM I. O. Amao, Commandant, Nigerian Armed Forces Resettlement Centre (NAFRC), Oshodi, Lagos says 186 personnel will graduate from the centre’s stream 2 trainees course on Dec. 18.

Amao, represented by Air Commodore Taofiki Oladega, Director of Administration, made this known on Friday during a special Jumat Service held at the NAFRC mosque to commemorate the forthcoming passing out parade.

“The prayer is part of the activities lined up for the event which will make it successful, because putting God first in whatever you do will guarantee its success.

“We prayed for blessings, long life and for them to have a happy retirement life. 186 people will be retiring on the said date,” he said.

Maj. Birchi Yakubu, NAFRC Chief Imam, advised the trainees to be careful of their utterances and also shun vices that could destroy the unity of the country.

“I advise the trainees to be careful with their utterances as they will be going back to the society to live as civilians.

“They have been in position of power and now that they are retiring, they should be mindful of the kind of information they divulge to the public.

“I urge them not to allow themselves be used by unscrupulous politicians to cause calamity or any evil plot against the unity of the country,” he said.

The Imam urged the trainees to seek Allah’s intervention for forgiveness of offences they might have committed during the course of their service.

He also urged them to forgive one another in whatever way they might have erred in order to create a smooth transition to civilian life.
