The Cherubim and Seraphim Movement Church Worldwide, Yaba District Headquarters (Ogo Serafu), has urged Christians to pray fervently, to overcome trials.
The Leader in Charge, Yaba District, Special Apostle Prophet, David Emilolorun, said this on Sunday, during the Cathedral Dedication and 51st Adult Harvest Thanksgiving Service, held in Ijeshatedo.
Emilolorun said that Christians were experiencing trails and tribulations, but prayer remained the key to overcoming them.
According to him, Christians should pray in unity, for progress, stability and peace to reign in Nigeria.
”Christians should wake up to their responsibility. Prayer is the master key.
“We have to continue praying, even in the Bible, there were so many troubles against Christians, but when they prayed, they overcame the troubles. We shall overcome our own difficulties, in Jesus name.
”Government should wake up to their responsibilities. Peoples are not living as is expected. And you know where people are not living as is expected what it causes,” he said.
Emilolorun also called on the government to address the issue of hunger and insecurity in the nation, so that Nigeria would be a better place to live in.
He said that the church being dedicated was in line with ensuring a befitting place for worship for God and it came with lots of blessings from God.
On his part, Senior Special Apostle Bisi Adedire, called on Nigerians to move closer to God, and allow love and peace to reign, as it was lack of love that breed the problems in the country.
”The moment you love your neighbour, there wouldn’t be any chaos, the moment you love your neighbour; you won’t want any problem; if you love your neighbour, you won’t want your neighbour to die.
“If you love your neighbour, you won’t want your neighbour to have any challenges or problems,” Adedire said.
He called on the governments to take care of the citizens and bridge the missing gap between them and the governed.
The Chairman Building Committee, Special Apostle Yinka Sogunro, said that the cathedral was 100 per cent financed and completed by the congregation, both in Nigeria and in the Diaspora, without bank loan or any external involvement.
Sogunro said that the church took about 55 months to build, after the foundation laying ceremony in 1992.
