Bye-Election: Gov. Nasir Flagg- off Campaign For Ngaski/ Yauri/Shanga Fed. Constituency.

Governor Nasir Idris of Kebbi State this Saturday flagged off bye elections campaign for Shanga/Yauri/Shanga Federal constituency for House of representatives candidate of APC ,Hon. Garba Umar (Bullet) scheduled for 3rd, February 2024.

Addressing mammoth crowd of APC supporters in Shanga, Governor Idris announced that Kebbi State Government in collaboration with federal government would provide free petrol to farmers for agricultural purposes in line with the 5-point agenda of the Kauran Gwandu led administration to boost agricultural production in the State.

Dr. Nasir Idris said already, concensus has been reached on the issue with the Minister of Budget and Economic Planning Senator Atiku Bagudu who he referred to as “Sarkin Noma”.

The Governor reaffirmed commitment of his administration to the provision of all necessary moral and material support to farmers to consolidate on the leading position of Kebbi State in Agricultural production.

He said already, the state government has begun the distribution of solar powered water pumps totalling twelve thousand to farmers and would back it up with another distribution of Twenty Five Thousand units of gas powered water pumps to farmers aimed at encouraging uptimum production.

While acknowledged that Shanga local Government has been famous in farming activities, reaffirming commitment to develop other sectors of the economy including roads infrastructure which has already started in neighbouring Yauri and Ngaski local Government areas.

Governor Nasir Idris who presented APC flag to the candidate of the party ,Hon Garba Umar ( Bullet) assisted by the APC State Chairman, Abubakar Muhammad Kana Zuru, described him as a well known performer among the people of his Constituency.

He than thanked the people of the area for their support to his administration and solicited for massive votes for the APC candidate in next Saturday’s bye elections.

He described the APC as the party for the people of Kebbi State committed to welfarism.

Earlier, the State APC Chairman, Alhaji Abubakar Muhammad Kana Zuru, informed the mammoth crowd of APC supporters that Governor Nasir Idris leading two former Governors of the state, was in Shanga in the spirit of brotherliness to thank them for their support to his administration, and solicited for their votes for the party’s candidate in the February 3rd bye elections for the House of Representatives.

Speaking on similar platform, the APC Chairman, Shanga local Government, Hon Babangida Aliyu and the Local Government Chairman, Hon. Aminu Takware thanked Governor Nasir Idris for his support to the agricultural sector which has impacted positively on the life of people of Shanga who are predominantly farmers.

They cited the provision of free fertiliser and other agricultural input to farmers in Kebbi State that has led to increased yields in crop production in the area.

They gave an assurance that the people of Shanga Local Government Area would troop out en masse to vote for the APC to clinch victory in the bye election.

Important personalities on the campaign trail with Governor Nasir Idris, include former Governor of Kebbi State who is also the DG, APC State campaign Council, Alhaji Saidu Nasamu Dakingari, the immediate past Governor of the State who is the Minister of Budget and Economic Planning, Senator Atiku Bagudu, former Deputy Governor, Col. Samaila Yombe Dabai, former Deputy Governor, Hon Bello Dantani who is the State Chairman Civil Service Commission, the SSG, Alhaji Yakubu Bala Tafida, executive members of the APC at State and Local Government levels, Commissioners, Special Advisers, members of the State House of Assembly, local Government Chairmen,Women and Youth Groups as well as thousands of APC supporters.

Similar campaign rally has been held in Yauri Local Government area to garner support for the APC candidate, Hon. Garba Umar ( Bullet) to secure victory in the bye election scheduled for Saturday next week.

Governor Idris expressed joy over the large crowd in Yauri while reiterating the unwavering commitment of his administration to ensure developmental projects in Yauri Emirate.

He said his administration would not relent in its efforts to continue to support agriculture in the state as well as initiate empowerment programmes to assist women and youths in the area.
