Yobe C/Chapel, SWAN Mourns Former Yobe State Governor

The Yobe Correspondents Chapel of Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN) express thier deep sorrows and mourns the demise of former Governor, Sen. Bukar Abba Ibrahim.

This was containd in a statement issued by the chairman, Yobe Correspondents’ Chapel, Malam Ahemd I. Abba, said that the members of the union are joins the nation in mourning the passing of former Governor, Sen. Bukar Abba Ibrahim, whose distinguished career in public service left an indelible mark on the state and the country.

“Governor Ibrahim’s passing is a significant loss not only for Yobe State but for the entire nation. His dedication to public service and his genuine concern for the well-being of his people were hallmarks of his leadership.

“The members of the chapel extend their deepest condolences to his family, friends, and associates during this difficult time.

“The Chapel also acknowledges the outpouring of grief and tributes from across the country, reflecting the widespread respect and admiration Governor Ibrahim garnered throughout his life.”

Meanwhile, the Vice President of Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (North East Zone), Comrade Ahmed Kagana Amshi, condoled with the family, friends of the late Former Governor of Yobe, Sen. Bukar Abba Ibrahim.

Amshi added that the entire members of SWAN in the Zone are joining entire Nigerian in mourning the loss of this esteemed statesman, Sen. Bukar.

He said the passing of Senator Bukar is a great loss not only to Yobe State but also to the entire North East region and the nation as a whole.

He said, “Former Gov. Bukar was a veteran politician who consistently prioritized the progress and development of the people he served.

“Almighty Allah grant the departed statesman eternal rest, and may his family, friends, and associates find the strength to bear this irreparable loss.” He said.
