We Reduce Road Crashes By 45%, Death Increase By 15 Percent In Zamfara- Says, Sector Commander

Federal Roads Safety Corps (FRSC) says it has recorded 45 percent reduction in roads crashes in the year 2023, although death increase by 15 percent.
The Sector Commander, CC. Iro Danladi made the disclosure in an interview with the News men in Gusau.
He said, that the command experience a huge reduction for the first time in history.
He said, even though the death occurred from accidents during the year had increased by 15%, and this was due to some crashes involving trucks conveying livestock to other part of the country.
CC, Danladi said what caused higher rate of fatalities in such crashes was the number of people who joined the vehicles along side with goods for cheap transport fare and in the event of accident many of them died.
The FRSC Boss observed that the major concern of the FRSC was how to raise awareness among individuals who joined such trucks for their transportation because they did not belonged to any define group.
“We will continued to partner with the communities and religious leaders toward enlightening public on the needs for safety on our roads. And for drivers the command worried over the rate of overloading, speeding and road violations.
” The critical offences are responsible to major auto crashes in 2023, we look forward to address the challenges in the current year.”
Danladi commended the road reconstruction project of the Zamfara State Government, this will no doubt help to further reduce carnage on our roads.
He called on motorists to be more careful while driving during this special conditions.
