The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Abbas Tajudeen, has said the 10th House is willing to partner with the Directorate of the Technical Aid Corps (DTAC) to ensure that patriotic Nigerians become good ambassadors of the country.
According to a statement by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Musa Abdullahi, he made the promise in Abuja on Wednesday when he received a delegation from the corps, led by its newly appointed Director General, Yusuf Buba Yakub.
Abbas congratulated Yakub on his appointment, adding that the members of the House who worked with the ex-lawmaker as Chairman of the House Committee on Foreign Affairs in the 9th Assembly were not surprised by his appointment due to his qualities and pedigree.
He congratulated the speaker on his overwhelming victory during the election for the speakership election.
Yakub stressed the need for more diplomacy in global politics, stating that, “It is better to conquer the world through soft power and diplomacy than with the barrels of the gun.”
