Villagers Kill Bandit, Recover 150 Livestock In Sokoto

Enraged residents of Giyawa community in Goronyo local government area of Sokoto State in the early hours of Sunday killed a suspected bandit and recovered about 150 rustled livestock.
Reports from the locals stated that the residents of Giyawa district had resisted the fleeing bandits from Samana village in Binji local government area of the state from passing through their village on their way to their Goronyo forest hideout.
Another source, who craved anonymity, hinted that four persons were allegedly killed, 18 others abducted, and many livestock rustled recently in Giyawa community.
However, the acting spokesperson of Sokoto State Police Command, ASP Ahmad Rufa’i, could not be reached for comment as at the time of filing this report.
