The Board of Trustees of Nok University Kachia, Kaduna State has approved the appointment of Prof. Isiyaku Haruna as the Vice Chancellor of the University.
This follow the recommendation of the governing board of the University held in Abuja in Friday 9 April 2021.
Also the board approved the appointment of Mr Obadiah Joshua as the Acting Registra for the period of six months pending the appointment of sustantive registrar for the institution.
According to the statement signed by Comrade Adamu Marshal on behalf of Nok University, ‘ The selection commitee and the University Council were unanimous in the scoring and the decision arrived at and approved the recommendation of the council for Prof. Ishaku Haruna Nok to be appointed as the Vice Chancellor of Nok University.
Prof. Nok of the Zoology Department of Ahmadu Bello University Zaria and former Dean Faculty of Science and head Biological Sciences emerged the Vice Chancellor out of three candidates that appears physically for the interview.
Meanwhile the Acting Registrar Mr Obadiah has served as Deputy Registrar of Kaduna State University and the first registrar of Green Field University,Kaduna.
