The Police Command in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) on Monday called on residents to be security conscious in view of incidences of criminality in the territory.
The Deputy Police Public Relations Officer in the FCT, ASP Mariam Yusuf, in a statement in Abuja, appealed to the residents to report suspicious movements within their environment to the police.
She condemned the gruesome killing of a woman by unknown assailants whose video was currently being circulated in the social media. Yusuf said that some police operatives on patrol found the body of the woman whose identity was still unknown, in a refuse bag dumped along Area 3 Junction of Abuja.

She said the Commissioner of Police in charge of FCT, Mr Bala Ciroma, had ordered full investigation into the unfortunate incident. Yusuf pledged to keep members of the public abreast with the progress of the investigation.
She called on residents of the territory to remain calm, take extra caution and report suspicious movements to the police.
