Nigerian Army Flagged Off OPERATION ACCORD In Kaduna

A joint Operation called ‘OPERATION ACCORD’ intended to neutralize and destroy all bandits and militia groups and their hideouts in the North West and North Central zones has been flagged off in Sanga Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

OPERATION ACCORD is being replicated for synergy of efforts in order to simultaneously conduct same operation within the Operation Safe Haven joint operation areas .

The operation is expected to last from June first to thirty first, twenty twenty.

Declaring the event opened at the Forward Operational Base at Gwantu on Monday, the Commander Operation Safe Haven, Major General Chukwuemeka Okonkwo said the operation was aimed at facilitating restoration of peace and security across Operation Safe Haven joint operation area.

General Okonkwo assured the people that the military will be professional in the discharge of its duties during the operation.

He stressed that OPERATION ACCORD would address all other emerging threats as well as dominating the joint operational areas with coordinated operations with flanking formations and units.

The Commander called on the general public to provide credible and timely information to the security agencies to pave way for the achievement of its operational objectives.

He however said existing synergy with other security agencies would be sustained during the operation.
