As Zamfara State Chapter of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), sets out plans to inaugurate it’s offshoot Chapel in Talata Mafara, the Nigeria League of Journalists applauded Member of the National House of Representative Honourable Isah Mohammed Anka, representing Anka/Mafara Federal Constituency, for the solidarity extended to the union’s activities, describing it as a new dawn for both the union and the house member.

This also follows the cash donation of the sum of Sixty-Four point Nine ($64.9) US Dollars, on Tuesday through his Talata Mafara Coordinatorz’s office, Mr. Faruku Mohd.

While acknowledging the largesse on behalf of the members, Chapel Chairman Mr. Abubakar Abdullahi explained that this kind gesture provides proof of Hon. Isah Mohammed Anka’s passion for good democratic representation and good governance and improving the proliferation of top-notch journalism and journalists in the area.

While reassuring the honorable member of the union’s support towards projecting the activities of his leadership, Mr. Abubakar said, as members of his constituency and as the watchdog of society, we are committed towards ensuring that he delivers the best political representation and democratic accountability in the constituency.

“We truly appreciate your care, and this marks the beginning of a new chapter in our story.”

The union and its members will not take this—a change from the recent past—for granted.

Mr. Abubakar added that, “The already strong working relationship between the union and the member representing Anka/Mafara federal constituency will undoubtedly be strengthened by this.”

The union leader prayed to God to reward the honorable member for his kindness and generosity, just as he urged him to sustain the relationship, also assuring him the money would be used judiciously.
