The Nigeria Institute of Public Relations Kano chapter has conducted Annual General Meeting and inauguration of the new elected executives members of the institute.
While speaking at the event the commissioner for information Kano state Baba Halilu Dantiye assure that the state Government under the leadership of Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf will support the development of the institute.
In his address the Emir of Kano, Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero, has called on journalists to allocate a dedicated section within their media organizations to inform Nigerians about the efforts made by the nation’s founding fathers in shaping Nigeria’s current state.
The emir who was represented by Katukan Kano, Alhaji Habibu Bello Dankadai, Emir Bayero stressed the importance of journalists committing themselves to their profession. He urged them to consistently provide beneficial information to Nigerians and uphold the truth.
In his address after the inauguration of the new Kano chapter executives of NIPR.National President of the institute Dr.Dr.Ike Neliaku congratulate all the new exco for being elected unopposed and commended the efforts of the past executive of the institute under Dr.Sule Ya’u Sule and Aminu Hamza for their good effort in making the institute more developed.
The new Kano chapter chairman of the NIPR.Malam Aliyu Yusuf he assure to bring all the professionals from Government and private organization to joined the institute.
Aliyu Yusuf said they will run the affairs of the institute with all members to ensure success in running the institute.
