NERC Organised Customers Complaints Resolution Meeting In Kano

Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission has organised Customers Complaints resolution meeting in Kano.The meeting started on Sunday on Thursday under the leadership of commissioner consumers affairs of the NERC.Hajiya Aisha Mahmud.
While addressing the gathering Hajiya Aisha Mahmud said she meeting is to listen the complain of the customers of the distribution company and their problems to resolve them such as lack of edequate supply of power and provision for meters.

Adding that meeting is to also enlighten the consumers about everything they supposed to know about what they doing in the commission and to know there right to understand..

She added that the meeting is for three days which started on Thursday and will be round up on Saturday this is in order to give opportunity to the workers to get ability to participate during the weekend.

Hajiya Aisha Mahmud said at the end of every meeting they will all sit with distribution company to look at the problems and complains to take majors that will resolve them with the hope to get good services to consumers.

In his address the managing director and chief executive of KEDCO.Alhaji Abubakar Yusuf said the event was organised by Nigeria electricity regulatory commission in collection with Kano electricity distribution company inviting their esteem customers to have a physical engegement to the state of sensitisation and education of costumers in terms of various aspects of electricity distribution in Nigeria.

Adding that in respect of right and obligation of the costomers and also right utility in this case Kano electricity distribution company and they are in the meeting physically to welcome all their complains and to educate them on the ways and manners they will lodge complains when ever they have issue in electricity supply in there respective domains.

Alhaji Abubakar Yusuf said there expected out come after the meeting is for costomers to continues to engage with them in various platforms in terms of suggestion, recommendation and feedback and complying with regulation because electricity business is highly regulated business they have dedicated regulator is a.federal Government agency Nigeria Regulatory Commission all activities and operations of electricity distribution companies is govern and guided by NERC regulations so they espect costomers to fully complains with all started regulations.

Abubakar Said they espect there staffs will have that opportunity to really understand and to really utilise the regulations for betterment of the services.
