Musician Dish Out 1 Milion Naira To Fellow Associates In Kebbi

The Special Adviser to Kebbi state Governor on Entertainment and founder of Makosa Foundation, Mallam Umar Usman, has provided financial support of N10, 000 each to 100 fellow musicians in the spirit of compassion in this blessed month of Ramadan.

Umar Makosa, who is a popular musician in Kebbi said the gesture was in obedience to the directive of Governor Nasir Idris for all public office holders in the state to assist the less privileged and the needy to uplift their living condition.

While flagging off the ceremony in Birnin Kebbi, the deputy governor of the state, Senator Umar Abubakar Tafida, described the music industry as of colossal wealth creation, job opportunities and good governance.

Represented by the Commissioner for Youths and Sports Development, Alhaji Nura Bala Fingila, the deputy governor acknowledged that musicians have over the years made positive contributions to social cohesion, unity and economic growth of the society.

He commended the donor for his care to fellow musicians, urging the well-to-do to imbibe the spirit of benevolence to humanity.

The Commissioner for Information and Culture, Alhaji Yakubu Ahmad Birnin Kebbi, reappraised the achievements of incumbent administration of Governor Idris since assumption of power with monumental record on infrastructural, social, economic, agricultural and economic development.
