Mr AbdulGaniyu Salahudeen, a member of the Kwara House of Assembly, has urged stakeholders across all political strata to be united for the sake of Nigeria.
Salahudeen, representing Omupo Constituency of Ifelodun Local Government Area, made the appeal in Ilorin on Friday while speaking with newsmen on the sidelines of a special prayer session organised to mark his birthday.
He also appreciated the presence of some stakeholders across all political strata, whom he said have shown him the true definition of love.
He said: “I appreciate everyone across political strata, inclinations and ideologies, especially the All Progressives Congress (APC) family, that graciously attended the prayer session to mark my birthday ceremony.
“Let me register my unreserved joy with an unmeasurable show of love I got with the calibre of dignitaries that attended the ceremony,” he said.
Salahudeen observed that despite political differences, colleagues from both the ruling APC and the opposition Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) all graced the occasion.
The lawmaker also used the opportunity to pray for the demise of Elder Julius Odeshile, a humanitarian renowned for his community development activities.
He described the deceased as an upright, reliable, honest and industrious father, who won’t stop doing and giving out what’s in him for the betterment of humanity.
