Kebbi Governor’s Wife, Donates Palliatives To Widows Of Fallen Soldiers In Zuru

The Wife of Kebbi State Governor, Hajiya Zainab Nasare Nasir Idris, has expressed deep sympathy with the widows of fallen heroes, saying that the incumbent administration of her husband will provide the necessary succour to them and their children to cushion the effect of daily life challenges.

Hajiya Zainab Nasare gave this assurance during the distribution of palliatives to the widows of the Nigeria Army 223 Battalion in Zuru Town, Zuru local government of the Kebbi state.

The First Lady was at the Army Barracks in Zuru to condole with the families of the departed soldiers and provide them with food items and cash assistance.

Hajiya Zainab Nasare in a solemn voice enjoined the widows to strengthen their faith with GOD, because death has been ordained as DIVINE predestination on all mortals, praying The ALMIGHTY CREATOR to grant them mercy for paying the supreme price in active duty to safeguard the nation.

The Governor’s wife advised the widows to strive hard to maintain moral and educational upbringing of their children who are now orphans by circumstances.

She thanked all the soldiers and their families in the Barracks for their support to this administration, informing them that they were at the Battalion to deliver palliatives to the occupants.

The wife of the Governor and her entourage were received by the Commanding Officer of the 223 Battalion Zuru, Colonel. M. Iliya, who commended her for the kind gesture to the soldiers and their families.

Colonel Iliya further thanked Governor Nasir Idris whom he described as friend of the Battalion, for his kindness and compassion to soldiers and their families at all times.

Speaking on behalf of the widows, Mrs. Ladi Rabo, described the wife of the Governor as kindhearted personality , thanking her for bringing relief items to the families of the fallen soldiers to enhance their welfare.

Earlier, Hajiya Zainab Nasare distributed palliatives to more than three thousand women who converged on the Zuru Town Hall from the four local government areas in Zuru Emirate, comprising of Fakai, Zuru, Danko-Wasagu and Sakaba.

Items distributed to the beneficiaries are rice and other assorted grains as well as cash.
Hajiya Zainab Nasare affirmed that the action by her husband led administration to mitigate the present economic situation among the people would be a continuous exercise to all nooks and crannies of the state.

She expressed her appreciation to all communities in the zuru Emirate for their support to the emancipation of Governor Nasir Idris to lead the state and for their absolute cooperation and loyalty to the government.

The Sole Administrator, Zuru Local Government, Alhaji Bala Isa Gajere, thanked the wife of the Governor for her visit to the area to distribute much needed food items and Cash to the people, extending similar appreciation to Governor Nasir Idris for his fatherly care to the entire people in the state.

The wife of the Governor also visited the Orphanage in Zuru where she provided the children with food and cash assistance.

Among top personalities on the entourage of the governor’s wife were the wife of the SSG, Hajiya Asama’u Alkali Tafida, the Commissioner, Women Affairs, Hajiya Halima Hassan Kamba, the Permanent Secretary, Women Affairs, Hajiya Aisha Maikurata, the Special Adviser on Women Affairs to the Governor, Hajiya Fati Sani Udu and the wife of the Speaker, Kebbi State House of Assembly, Hajiya Uwani Ankwe.
