Kano State Government Distributes Over One Millions Books And Instructional  Materials To Schools

Engineer Abba Kabir Yusuf, has , flagged off the distribution of books and instructional materials to pupils and state owned basic schools.

This is contained in a statement signed by chief press secretary to the Governor Sanusi Bature,.Adding that the students and public schools in the state will receive 1.3 million text books of English language, Mathematics, Basic Sciences and Basic Technology, 670,000 exercise books.

Other items are 215 pieces of white boards, 7,100 pieces of white markers, 15,000 pieces of bags, 15,000 pairs of Schools sandals, 311,600 sharpeners, mathematical sets, pencils, rulers and erasers.

Others include; 10,368 sets of library accessories, 500,000 sets of Special education accessories,2,000 tablets android, 40,000 sets of uniforms, 10,000 cartons of white chalks, 50 pieces of science laboratory equipment, 5,000 pieces of dusters as well as pupils digital attendance equipment.

Further, the statement quoted the Governoras saying “Kano State Government accords utmost priority to education sector and it will not relent in implementing its educational rejuvenation master plan that focuses on; expansion access to education, ensuring provision of quality education and eliminating illetracy through life long learning”.

He added, “Let me recognise and appreciate the role of our BESDA (Better Education Services Delivery for All) teachers who performed well in uplifting our primary education. It is in this recognition that this government will do everything possible to assist them in what ever way possible” appreciated the Governor”.
