The Adamawa State Police Command headquarters came under attack in the early hours of Wednesday, causing panic in Yola, the state capital.
The Police Command headquarters, which is located at the heart of Jimeta community in Yola North local government area was, was attacked for at about 30 minutes.
The incident was confirmed by the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje, who said things have been put under control.
Nguroje said the attack was repelled, but the identities of those behind it were unknown.
He, however, added that investigations were ongoing to ascertain the cause of the attack and those behind it.
