A Federal High Court sitting in Maitama, Abuja has set October 6, 2022 for the hearing of the Prohibition of Islamic Movement, presided over by Sheikh Ibrahim Zakzaky, as signed by Justice Maha in July 2019.
Justice A. I Chikere is the current Attorney General of the case, declaring that they should return by October 6 to hear from all parties to hear the situation.
Barrister Haruna Magashi, one of the lawyers defending the Islamic Movement in court, told the judge that the dates were too far-fetched in the country, but Judge Chikere said that even the weekend he had worked hard on the cases before him.
The Islamic Movement under the leadership of Malam Ibraheem Zakzaky has resumed its normal activities despite the ban imposed by Justice Hana in recent years.
