Governor Hope Uzodimma of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has won in all the 27 local government areas where the November 11, 2023 governorship poll held in Imo State.
The collation of results started around 2am on Sunday in Owerri, the state capital, with the Vice Chancellor of the Federal University, Oye Ekiti, Prof Abayomi Fashina, as the state Returning Officer of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for the election.
Others considered to be the incumbent governor’s main challengers – Samuel Anyanwu of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Achonu Nneji of the Labour Party – did not win a single LGA.
