IDPD 2023: Persons With Disabilities In Nigeria Demand Total Inclusiveness In All Human Activities, As The World Celebrate International Day

Ahead of world International Day Of Persons With Disabilies 3rd december 2023,

The Joint National Association of Persons with Disabiliy(Jonapwd) kaduna in support with coalition of Associtions for leadership, peace, empowerment & development (CALPED) organise an interactive section with all the clousters in the state with the aims of celebrating the day through calling on all stake holders to sustain the calls for inclusiveness in all human endeavour

The gathering which toke place at kaduna state rehabilitation board draws the attention of media organization on The need for includiveness of all human activities with persons with disabilities

The state chairman of the association comrade suleman Abdulazeed streesed the need for total inclusiveness
and Accessility for PWD in Nigeria

The theme of the 2023 International Day of Persons with Disabilities (IDPD) is: “United in action to rescue and achieve the SDGs for, with and by persons with disabilities

The gathering which brought together all the clousters of the disabled persons in the state to dialoq and interact on issues related them

According to him, the called for inclusiveness became mandatory in view of the various role played by religious,traditional titled holders and concerned civil society organizations in the country
(we want to included in everything related to human activities which include jobs, opportinities, appointment etc)

(we dont need your mercy,all we need is engagement of all activities related to human endeavous as the constitution of the country pointed

Mallamibrahim. abubakar, is the state chairman of the nigerian association for the Blind which equally decry over increase cost of
Educational materials, and mobility eg white cane for the blind students across the 19 northern states of nigeria.

Adding that Digital literacy affecting blind kids,

He called on the state government and wealrhy individuals To be assisting the poor blind childrens with scholarship

Similarly mallam mohammed musa iya the kaduna state chairman of association of deaf lament of discrimination,and inadequate acessesibity and lack of sound and ommunicative devices system affecting real communition between them and other physical human

He note that, Participation of deaf persons in any conference or dialogue is very difficult due to lack of provision of sign language interpreters

The called on all event, and conference planners to be including sign language for effective communication both state and nationals to be engaging the deaf ,so that they can be communicating with them

While calling on all Television station to be engaging sign language interpreters to enabled imformed about the news events

Contributing also during the gathering ,The Coalition of associations for leadership, peace, empowerment & development (CALPED)

Mr steven waya said,they provide technical support during the briefing

Streesing that his organization would continue to suppoort the association toward making life better for the association

Calling on all stakeholders for colaborative effort for inclusiveness of all the clausters of the disabled groups in the state

In conclution, mallam Nuhu ayuba, the association of sign language interpreters of nigeria(Aslin) kaduna state ,says they are here in solidarity to all the disabled groups clouster across the 23 local government in the state ,in support of 3rd december 2023
