Honourable Member representing Arewa/ Dandi federal constituency in Kebbi state, Hon. Garba Rabi’u Kamba have launched empowerment programme of seventy Million Naira (N70M) and trucks of parboiled rice to 2,640 people in 22 wards of his constituency at Arewa and Dandi local government areas of Kebbi state.
The empowerment programme was aimed at empowering 2,640 people in 22 wards of Arewa and Dandi federal constituency with a view to ease the current hardship and difficulties people are experiencing in the country.
While flagging off the empowerment programme in Arewa and Dandi LGAs, Hon. Garba Rabi’u Kamba expressed the motive behind the empowerment plan for his constituency people. ” As member whom you elected to represent you at the national assembly it’s a time for me to reciprocate on the mandate given to me by way of bringing this kind of empowerment that have direct bearing to your lives. So that you will attest that you have a good representation at the national level.
” The programme is two in one because there is cash empowerment distribution scheme and food empowerment distribution to vulnerable and lesspriviged persons within the two LGAS of the said constituency. Each ward One hundred to One hundred and twenty persons was drawn as grouped in categories will be the beneficiary of the scheme.
” A total of 2,460 persons with benefits with cash and bags of parboiled rice within Arewa and Dandi federal constituency in the state as an empowerment programme initiated by Hon. Garba Rabi’u Kamba representing the above constituency at the national assembly” He explained.
Equally, the vulnerable and needy persons will be empowered with bags of parboiled rice while other categories of groups will be benefits with cash.
“As i remain your member who represented you at national level it is most for me to ensure that all your due right comes to you. Today’s programme it’s just the first phrase of such kind of empowerment I have planned to all the people of Arewa and Dandi federal constituency insha Allah”.
He said the empowerment plan is to empowered 500 people in Arewa and Dandi LGAs and it has categories of groups of people to be the beneficiaries such as youth and women groups, traditional leaders, Religious of both groups, vulnerable and lesspriviged persons, APC party excos at wards and local government level, elders of both wards and local government and that of the local government APC working committee among others.
He however disclosed that, as it was divided into groups as well the cash empowerment was also in categories of seventy Thousand Naira, Fifty Thousand Naira, Thirty Thousand Naira and than Twenty Thousand Naira. While the vulnerable and lesspriviged persons was empowered with bags of paboiled rice.
Hon. Garba Rabi’u Kamba, expressed appreciation to Gov. Nasir Idris for supporting his election as member representing Arewa and Dandi federal constituency at the national assembly, as well for given all the logistics support to party officials and ensure I image as elected APC house of representatives member.
He assured governor Nasir Idris, APC party and the two LGAS he represented at national assembly for good representation and ensure he fight for the due right of his constituency and state in general.
” I will now, focus on developmental projects, job opportunities and social investment programme that have direct bearing to the lives of our people insha Allah. While urging people of his constituency to continue giving their maximum support to present administration of Governor Nasir Idris and president Bola Ahmed Tinibu so that more dividend of democracy will gets to you”.
The sole administrators of Arewa and Dandi LGAs Hon. Dr mansir Isah and Hon. Sani Aliyu kulita in their separate remarks during the flag off ceremony, they expressed their rejoices over the empowerment programme brought to their respective local government areas by their elected member representing both to two LGAs at the national assembly.
” This kind of empowerment programme brought at these material time is apt and timely because our people are faced with hardship and difficulties of live, now we are in Ramadan period where people need alot of support, so we have nothing to say than to ensure maximum support to our elected member, so that he will have courage and determination of bringing more dividend of democracy, developmental projects and job opportunities to our people.
They however, call on other elected leaders in the state and national level to emulate Honourable Garba Rabi’u Kamba gesture. We thanked him for not forgotten his constituency people, these shows that he is a good ambassador his constituency people.
