His Excellency, Zamfara State Executive Governor Hon Dr. Bello Mohammed MON (Matawallen Maradun) has condoled with the State Accountant General Alhaji Jibril Baba over the death of his step mother, Hajiya Saudatu Mallam Baba who died yesterday as a result of a brief illness.
In a statement signed by Yusuf Idris Gusau, Director General Media, Public Enlightenment and Communication, Governor Matawalle described the death of Hajiya Saudatu Mallam Baba as a great loss not only to her family but to the entire people of the state.
According to him, late Hajiya Saudatu spent a life full of dedication and total devotion to the Almighty Allah and she will always be remembered for her honesty and sincerity.
He prayed Almighty Allah to reward her soul with Jannatul firdaus and give her family the fortitude to bear the loss.
Responding on behalf of the deceased family, the State Accountant General, Alhaji Jibril Baba thanked the Governor for the love and concern shown to the family and prayed Almighty Allah to reward him abundantly.
Late Hajiya Saudatu Mallam Baba died at the age of 85 years and she is survived by 6 children and many grandchildren.
Her remains have since been buried according to the Islamic rites in Gusau.
The Governor was accompanied by the Chief of Staff Government House Col Bala Mande rtd, State PDP Chairman, Alhaji Ibrahim Mallaha Gusau, Honourable Commissioners and Special Advisers among others.
