The International Business review( IBR) has honoured the Kebbi State Governor, Dr .Nasir Idris with a prestigious award of “2023 IBR Borneo Award” in recognition of his outstanding leadership legacies in socio-economic development.
Alhaji Ahmed Idris, Chief Press Secretary to State Governor disclosed this in a statement issued to Journalists in Birnin, the state capital.
Idris quoted his principal speaking shortly after receiving the award in Malaysia.
The governor, who was represented by his Deputy, Alhaji Umar Tafida, appreciated the IBR Asia Group for finding him worthy of the 2023 awards.
Dr. Nasir dedicated the award to the good people of Kebbi State and assured that it would motivate him to do more in all sectors of the economy.
“The recognition is a profound testimony to the collective efforts of the people of Kebbi State, my dedicated team and the unwavering support from all stakeholders in our beloved state,” he said.
Distinguished personalities at the ceremony included the Premier of Sarawak, Mr. Abang Abdul Rahman Zohari Abang and President of Malaysian Senate, Mr Roy Barreras.
The Premier of Sarawak is the head of
government of the Malaysia state of Sarawak, while the Deputy Governor was accompany by the Special Adviser on Political and power Alhaji Kabir Sani Gaint, Special Adviser on Special Duty Alhaji Shafiu Zauro, some commissioners and state Assembly members.
