Abu Abba-Wayo Foundation on Thursday said it had donated drugs and clinical equipment to the Primary Healthcare Centre in Wayo Community, Wamba Local Government Area (LGA) of Nasarawa State.

Speaking during the donation, Mr Aliyasu Abba, Executive Director of the foundation, said the gesture was to sustain the passion his late mother had for health needs of the people.

“The donation is to assist poor persons who do not have the means to access medical care to improve their health status.

“We also want to bring affordable healthcare services closer to the people especially those at the grassroots,” he said.

Abba-Wayo promised that the foundation would extend the gesture to all communities in Wamba LGA.

Responding on behalf of the community, Mr Lawal Nagogo, Areyi Nindre, Paramount Ruler of Wamba, expressed gratitude to the foundation for the gesture.

He appealed to other organisations and spirited individuals to emulate the foundation by assisting in the provision of healthcare needs of the less privileged.

In his remarks, Mr Abubakar Abbas, Chairman, Wamba LGA, said the government would partner persons that were willing to embark on projects that would improve the people.
