Federal Gov’t Donates 2 Digital Fire Fighting Trucks To Kano

The Kano State Government has received a donation of two digital fire fighting trucks from the Federal Government to help in disaster management in the state.

Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, during the unveiling of the trucks allocated to state by the Federal Fire Service, expressed gratitude to the Federal Government for the trucks.

Governor Yusuf also gave assurance that the would be judiciously utilized, stressing their significant benefits to the people of the state in enhancing safety and security.

The Governor’s spokesperson Sanusi Dawakin Tofa, in a statement made available to journalists on Thursday, pointed out that the governor graciously accepted the donation from the Controller of the Federal Fire Service, Kano Command.

He further conveyed the Governor’s gratitude for the gesture, and pledged to provide necessary resources and support for the Service to discharge its constitutional duties efficiently.

While reiterating his administration’s dedication to emergency preparedness for safety of lives and properties, the Governor highlighted that the new fire-fighting vehicles would enhance his administration’s ongoing endeavors to ensure swift and efficient response to fire emergencies.

In his address, the Kano Command Controller of the Federal Fire Service, Engineer A. Kazeem, underscored the importance of the newly deployed digital fire-fighting trucks in safeguarding lives and properties in the state.

Kazeem explained that some advanced features of the fire-fighting trucks included their 600-liter water capacity and 50-liter foam compound for effective fire suppression.

The Controller also explained that Kano is one of the selected states out of 20 states to recieve the truck; with 200 skilled firefighters deployed to further assist the state government in ensuring the safety and security of its residents.
