Just two days after completing his two-tenure of eight years as Kogi State governor, posters bearing the image of Alhaji Yahaya Bello, on Monday, surfaced in some locations in Abuja, including the national secretariat of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), indicating his interest in the party’s national chairmanship position.

The posters have the inscription, “APC Next Level. Alhaji Yahaya Bello as APC National Chairman. Leading the Change, Building a Stronger APC.”

Bello, whose second tenure in office as Kogi State governor elapsed last Saturday, is from the North-Central geopolitical zone which held the position until August, 2023, when the immediate-past Kano State governor, Dr Abdullahi Ganduje, from North-West zone emerged new APC national chairman.

The development followed the resignation of Senator Abdullahi Adamu from the North-Central state of Nasarawa as APC National Chairman.

However, both camps of Ganduje and Bello have been silent on the development as no one from their folds was ready to comment on the matter when contacted our by correspondent.
