A socio-cultural group, Kwara Youth Unity Forum Initiative (KYUFI), on Monday asks Muslim faithful to pray for the peace and unity of the country that is battling with COVID-19 pandemic.

The group, in a statement by its National Coordinator, Comrade Shafi Ismail Alada urged the Muslims to use the festival period for sober reflections.

It also congratulated Muslim faithful on the successful completion of the Ramadan fast.

The Forum commended them for their commitment and steadfastness in completing the 30 days of Ramadan fast.

KYUFI further enjoined Muslims to ensure that the teachings and lessons of the Holy month of Ramadan always manifest in their daily lives.

It described the sacrifices and supplications, during the period, as necessary ingredients for the peace, unity and development of Nigeria.

“We have to make every effort to continue to be in close relationship with Allah during and beyond the Ramadan period.

“The regular prayers and recitation, and above all, understanding and acting on the injunctions of the Holy Qur’an and Sunnah of Prophet Muhammed (peace be upon him) must be sustained,’’ it added.
