The Commissioner of Police Zamfara State Police Command, CP Muhammad Shehu Dalijan, on behalf of the Inspector General of Police IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, PhD, NPM presented the cheques of Fifty million, one hundred and forty-five thousand, one hundred and nineteen naira eighty-three kobo (50,145,119.83) only to the 27 next of kins of the officers who died while serving their Father Land.
These cheques issued were part of the IGP initiative under the Group Personal Accident and IGP family welfare insurance schemes of the Force to assist the families of our officers who pay the supreme price with their lives.
In a statement by the
ASP Yazid Abubakar Public Relations Officer,said The CP, while presenting the cheques, appreciated the IGP for his kind gesture and also appealed to the families of the deceased officers to make good use of the money and take care of their families.
Meanwhile, Mr. Yahaya Umar one of the beneficiaries in his remarks on behalf of other beneficiaries, thanked the Inspector General of police and the state police Command for the support. He also assured that the money given to them will be spent wisely.
