The Nasarawa State Ministry of Education has ordered the closure of public schools in the state in view of the widespread concern over the spread of the Coronavirus pandemic.
The state Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Hajiya Jimaita Sabo, gave the order on Friday at an emergency meeting with Directors, Chief Evaluation Officers and Association of Nigeria Conference of Principals of Seconadry Schools in Lafia.
Sabo directed all the secondary school principals in the state to hasten and complete ongoing examination latest by Thursday, March 26.
She said that students were to proceed on vacation until further notice.
