Campaigners of the All Progressive Congress (APC) have asked the party to revisit its reward system, stating that none of their members had been appointed in the government of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
According to the group, the president should look into the party’s reward system and consider those who worked for him and the party in the last election.
Speaking at a press conference in Abuja, the director general of the APC Support Groups, Dr Muhammad Kailani, said the party had failed to demonstrate a reward system for its committed party stalwarts who stood by it when it mattered the most.
“We have been treated with apathy by the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu-led APC government.
“It is evident that the APC, under President Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima since February 29, 2023, has not acknowledged the leadership of any Confederation of APC Support Group in terms of federal appointments. Instead, unfamiliar names are being introduced daily. Our members are growing impatient as they raise daily questions that we cannot answer.
“We cannot continue in this situation. President Bola Tinubu must take action because those who worked tirelessly, investing their money, time, and energy to ensure the success of the APC in the 2023 general election should not be left empty-handed, while unknown individuals reap the benefits of where they did not sow,” Kailani said.
