NILEST Military Accoutrements by Nigerian Institutes for Leather Science Technology (NILEST) will be patronized based on certification, meeting of Military requirements and cost effectiveness in procurement.
The Air Commanding Officer (AOC) of the Air Training Command, Kaduna, Air Vice Marshall Namjul Kenneth Kumzhi said this during the courtesy visit paid to the Command on 20th April, 2022 by NILEST management.
The Management team led by Prof MK Yakubu paid a courtesy visit to the Command to condole the Command and the entire Nigerian Military over the lost of two gallant Men on the runway the previous day, also congratulate the AOC and his Chief of Staff over their recent posting above all, introduce NILEST patented and certified Leather Products to the Command. According to the DG, the summary of the visit was to synergies and coperate for the greater benefit of the Federal Government
In his response, AOC Kumzhi thanked Prof MK Yakubu and his management Team and accepted the condolence visit. According to him, since NILEST has been certified to produce Combat Black Boot to Nigerian Military and, the Products are of the local content, cheap and available as desired by the President Muhammadu Buhari GCFR led Federal Government, cooperation and synergy between the Command and NILEST is very necessary so that the overall aim of the Federal Government can be achieved.
Describing the visit, the Chief of Staff to the AOC, Air Vice Marshall Edinwe opined that the visit was timely. According to him, the two Agencies of Government have many things to benefit from the synergy especially, in the area of research and development and, Students admission.
Giving the vote of thanks, the Director, Administration and Services, NILEST, Mr. YY Midat, thanked AVM Kumzhi and his Principal Officers for the kind gesture to host the management Team and, implored the Command management echelon to scan into all NILEST Programmes as presented and key-into it.
