Should You Wait For A Better Day To Be Happy?

Surely, you must have heard or read a lot of sayings like; “better days are coming, you just have to wait for it…” “better days ahead…” “the future is going to be brighter…” the future is going to be this this and that that… its all over the internet.

But remember that “the future is always beginning now.” ~ As said by Mark Strand.

And I support the quote by adding  that the future is nothing but another collection of days, hours, minutes or seconds which are yet to be experienced by you, so it’s really “beginning now”.

I am aware of how much we are in need all those daily doses of motivations about a bright future because at the end of the day, we are average people who are anxious about the idea of getting stuck in our problematic present. But I believe we all have the power to resist the rabbit hole.

Its all about changing our mindsets and coming to terms with our realities.

Generally, its good to maintain a positive mindset and be hopeful for a better day, but that is never an excuse for you to be blind and ignore the fact that disappointments are all a part of what the future will hold. “Hope for a better future” is definitely not an excuse for you to stay miserable in your present and be waiting for something which you can’t guarantee will come (when you could die any moment).

I think accepting both sides of the coin is crucial, and not making the mistake of overlooking the little things that make us happy for now. We do not live in the future, we live here and now. So we must learn to appreciate our lives and feel the happiness that comes at the given moment. There is no such thing as a trial-free life because shitty problems are constantly going to come our way one after another. The fight is real, but you know what? Experiencing the fight is all okay because every being… Literally every being will be tried and tested in one way or another. Do not be swayed by the idea of perfection. Perfection is nothing but an illusion which per se, is unattainable. What is attainable is us, coming to terms with reality and being okay about it. Changing our mindsets and exploring what makes us truly happy at the moment.
