RTEAN National President Urges Members To Be Law Abiding Citizens

The National President  of Road Transport Employers Association  of Nigeria  Alhaji Musa Muhammed Maitakobi has urged all members to be law abiding in the conduct  of their lawful business,

Musa Muhammed Maitakobi made the statements when he led the National Executive  Committee  of the association during the swearing-in/Inauguration  of States Executives member of Gombe,Edo and Anambra at the RTEAN Headquarters  in Abuja where legal luminaries journalists attended,

He called  on all RTEAN members across the nation to unite themselves and be diligent,hardworking, maturity,peace loving for the progress and peace  of the association  and Nigeria  in general,

He charged the newly inaugurated Executive  members to be trust worthy not to involve  in any misconduct,embezzlement or course anything against  the provision  of the association constitution and law of Nigerian  Constitution, adding that the National Executive  Committee  has the right to dissolve the state chapters if there is any breach  of law and order,

Furthermore he advice them to abide  by all traffic rules and regulations at all the times and avoid night driving so as to reduce the rate of road accidents in the country,

However he said “we have tried popular election in many ways but it resulted  to crises and reports  of casualties, the NEC sat and decided and adopted election by selection to harmonise everyone to come under one umbrella ”

The article  6 sub section 8(2) paragraphs C states that,

The State  Executive  of the association  shall be the highest Administrative/Policy organ of the day to day running  of the association  in the state, officers/officials shall be elected/appointed  for 5 years Election by selection  or direct Elections,

He also described  the courses  accidents  with the manufacturing  of fake tyres and called on Government to intervene in the issues so as to reduce  the rates of Accidents

He concluded with drawing the attention of his members to always synergies with security operatives and traditional institutions
