No fewer than 6350 patients have been slated to benefit from a week long medical outreach organized by a group of doctors under the name ‘DOCTOR ON THE MOVE OF AFRICA’ in Sabon Gari local government area of Kaduna state, which was sponsored by the member representing Sabon Gari federal constituency, Alhaji Hon, Datti Ahmad Babawo.
In a brief ceremony kick-starting the open clinic, Hon. Datti Babawo explain that, over 6350 people surfering from different type of sickness have been screened and lined up to benefit form the services of the medical personnel. He further said that, some of he sickness that were diagnosed and set to be treated include, hypertension, Heyania, diabetes, catrack, fibrous, major and minor surgery are expected to be carried out on several patients to cure them of their ailments.
Break down of the figure of those to benefit from the medical outreach shows that 200 patients would face major or minor surgery while a 150 patients will be provide with eye glasses to correct different defect they are facing, also 6000 patients would be treated of different type of diseases.
Hon Babawo stated tha the he has provide a total amount of 30 Milion Naira to take care of diagnosis and treatment of all those coming for the medical treatment.
In his response, the team leader, Dr. Haruna Kigu, explained that they are fully qualify and ready to perform all the medical challenges that will come their way during the outreach, he therefore urged patients to excises patients and organized them self to avoid unnecessary rancor. He said that the choice of Saidu Dange Hospital in GRA Zaria was strategic, so that people coming from ever direction of the local government can easily asses the venue.
