The Chairman, Senate Committee on Finance, Sen. Solomon Adeola (APC, Lagos -West) has felicitated  President of the Senate, Dr Ahmad Lawan, on the occasion of his 62nd birthday.

Adeola, in a statement through his Media Adviser Mr Kayode Odunaro,  in Abuja on Tuesday,  described Lawan as a  game changer in the development strides of the nation.

Adeola said  the senate president had so far engendered a cordial relationship between the legislative and executive arms of government.

This, he noted, was resulting in unprecedented development without compromising the independence of the legislature in a democracy.

“On this important day in the life of our president of the senate, I want to place it on record that he is a patriotic leader that places the interest of the people and nation foremost in his leadership of the National Assembly.

“The cordial relationship he engendered between the Executive and Legislative arm of government has led to many positive developments.

” This includes the return of the Nigerian budget cycle back to January-December cycle after a decade and the unprecedented passage of Finance Bills among other landmark legislative interventions,” he said.

Adeola said his prayer for Lawan was for God to continue to endue him with divine wisdom, good health and ultimately long life to continue to serve Nigerians and humanity in general.(NAN)
