Mai Potiskum Attends The Coronation Of 19th Emir Of Zazzau, Amb. Bamalli

Former Nigerian Ambassador to Thailand, Ahmad Nuhu Bamalli on Monday received staff of office and coronated as the 19th Fulani Emir of Zazzau in the ancient city of Zaria.

Mai Potiskum, Alhaji Umar bubaram was among the dignitaries in attendance of the historic coronation of the new emir.

However, Governor Nasir El Rufai while presenting the staff to the new Emir today 9th of November, 2020 at the Race Course Zaria explained that the appointment of Ambassador Ahmad Nuhu Bamalli as the 19th Fulani Emir of Zazzau afforded his government an opportunity to redress a colonial injustice done to the Malawa clan.

The sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Sa’ad Abubakar was the chairman of the occasion which was attended by Etsu Nupe, Emir of Bauchi, Mai Borgu, and the Emir of Kano, Aminu Ado Bayero.

Mai Potiskum urged the newly coronated Emir of Zazzau, Amb. Bamalli to treat everyone in his domain with honesty and justice.

The mai Potiskum also reiterates the need for the emir to play the role of a father to all. “I pray that the newly coronated Emir will be guided and follow the footsteps of his predecessors.” He said.

Mai Potiskum was accompanied to the historic event  by Zarma Alhaji Gidado Ibrahim, who is the Sarkin Yamma, and other senior traditional title holders, business men, lawyers, and technocrats.
