The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), has charged officers and men of the corps to be hard working and committed to work for effective service delivery.

Mr Rotimi Adeleye, the Ondo State Sector Commander, made this call while speaking with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Thursday in Akure.

NAN reports that Adeleye has just been promoted along with his Deputy Sector Commander, Olusegun Ogungbemide from the rank of Corps Commander (CC) to Assistant Corps Marshal (ACM) and from Deputy Corps Commander (DCC) to Corps Commander (CC) respectively.

“Our men and officers should believe that hard work, prayer and commitment to work pay.

“It has become imperative for them to be committed to their work because whatever you do while in the office, people are noticing and observing you.

“They should continue to do the right thing and shun eye services. Do your work the way it is supposed to be done either your supervisor is around or not. One day, you will reap what you sow.

“They should do their work and by the time you do it judiciously, definitely you will have your rewards,” he said.

According to Adeleye while speaking on his new rank, the new promotion goes with higher responsibilities.

He, therefore, implored commercial motorists to desist from overloading and speeding that could cause road crashes and  fatality on the roads.

“If you overload your vehicle, especially during this COVID-19 pandemic, there is the tendency for you to transmit the disease,” he said.

Also speaking, Ogungbemide, the Head of Operation of the command, appreciated the Corps Marshal and the management for counting him worthy of the elevation in spite of the stiff competition involved.

He appreciated the staff of the Ondo State Sector Command for making his job easy through their cooperation, support and conducive environment.

The two FRSC officials were promoted and decorated with the new ranks on June 3, 2020.
