The Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) through the Education Secretariat has called for collaboration and networking with non-governmental organisations with unique and focused programs to stimulate economic growth, job creation and poverty reduction in the FCT.
The mandate secretary, Danlami Hayyo, made the call yesterday in Abuja at the closing ceremony of the i-Dreams digital entrepreneurship masterclass in collaboration with the Education Secretariat.
The secretary who was represented by the Secretariat Director of Administration and Finance, Abdulrazaq Leramah, commended i-Dreams for their unwavering commitment to the incredible initiative, training, and empowering women in Nigeria through their various projects, particularly this digital entrepreneurship training.
The secretary stressed that the i-dream team was complementing the government’s efforts in educational development and inclusiveness in line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG).
“Permit me to reiterate that the FCT Administration is committed to collaborations and networking with Non-Governmental Organizations with unique and focused programs to stimulate economic growth, job creation, and most importantly poverty reduction in the FCT.
“Our doors are open to more collaborations of this nature hence government alone cannot achieve nation-building, so all hands must be on deck to support the government of His Excellency Bola Ahmed Tinubu to achieve his 8 Point Agenda.
“This Training however fosters women’s digital skills and the ability to develop their entrepreneurship potentials which will further translate to boost the technological and innovative initiatives of the grassroots women,” he said.
Hayyo advised women who have participated in the unique program, to continue to develop themselves technologically to remain very relevant in the economic development processes of Nigeria.
