Sheikh Ahmad Tijjani Guruntun, a renowned Islamic scholar in Bauchi has appealed to Muslims youth to refrain from being used by self-aggrandized Nigerians in the name of #EndSARS protest.
He made the appeal during a preaching session at S-19 Mosque, Jahun Quarters, Bauchi where he said that Islam does not condone any form of rally.
The Islamic cleric therefore expressed displeasure on the way and manner the ongoing EndSars rally across some states in the federation is been hijacked by thugs and hoodlums.
He warned that attacking leaders, religious scholars and worship centres by the protesters will not be tolerated, describing the brigandage as a calculated attempt against the present administration in Nigeria.
Sheikh Tijjani Guruntun commended Muslim youths for not taking part in the rally and urged them to sustain the tempo in the spirit of peaceful coexistence in the state and the nation at large.
Guruntun further called on youths generally in the country not to destroy their future in the name of pleasing some disgruntled elements, urging them to remember that they are leaders of tomorrow.
While cautioning Muslim youths against joining any form of protest in the name of #EndSars, the Cleric advised parents to strictly monitor the movements of their wards to stop them from associating with bad eggs in the society.
