Kano state governor Abba Kabir Yusuf has filed an appeal at the Supreme Court challenging his removal as governor by the Appeal Court last week.
Daily News 24 reports that Mr Yusuf filed the appeal documents on Wednesday.
In the notice of appeal seen by Daily News 24, Mr Yusuf’s party the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) filed the appeal, which also joined the governor as a respondent in addition to the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
