Elderly, children and women are the most vulnerable groups affected by violent conflicts. They suffered in many ways which changed their lives badly and permanently to the most difficult situations and living conditions.
Ethno-religious, political, wars and all forms of violent conflicts have many consequences from economic, educational, physical, psychological and social effects as a results of destruction of properties,  death, incapacitation, and displacement of the breadwinners from their means or sources of incomes.
The negative consequences of violent conflicts are universal in the developed and developing nations. However, the post-conflicts resettlement is the major tasks where the approaches differs. In patriotic and serious nations. The concerns of the authorities is to improve the living conditions of those directly affected by the conflicts through death, incapacitation, destruction of properties, displacement and forced migrations. These could happen usually after the conflicts ended whether through peace accords or defeat to assess and evaluate the actual losses on one and determine the actual and estimated humanitarian needs on the other hand that will be implemented through short, medium and long-term plans that will makes them at least to forget their past  traumatic experiences. This is the usual practice all over the world.
However, one will be disappointed going by the recent events and happenings in Nigeria where due to the insensitivities of our leaders we have not see the ends of boko-haram violent conflicts, but they are planning for overseas scholarship for repented boko-haram as rewards and compensations for killings, incapacitation, destruction of properties and displacement of people, while the victims and their families living in difficult, hards and miserable conditions in their places of origin, Internally Displayed People (IDP) Camps or where they migrated. These are clear indications that the concerns authorities have no plans for the future of the victims and their families.
The most disheartening things is that boko-haram insurgents are still destroying people’s and governments’ properties,  killings  Nigeria’s security personnel and innocent citizens. We have seen what happened recently at Military Check Point where about 30 travellers stopped by the military were killed, vehicles and properties worth millions of Naira were destroyed.
Going by the worsening security situations in the country particularly in the north nobody in his right senses will ever thinks of sponsoring repented boko-haram members to overseas through TETFUND and other agencies. This in reality is nothing but the promotion of violent that will further endangers lives, properties, peace, stability and order in the country.
This is happening at the time the responsive and responsible leaders of the southwest are taking all the necessary steps and measures to ensure security of lives and properties in their areas through Amotekun security outfit, while our own leaders are thinking of overseas scholarship for boko-haram. What southwest leaders are doing is positive response at the right time to address the apparent system failures to ensure security of lives and property.
We are appealing to the Association of Credible Leadership in Nigeria and other diaspora groups and organizations to join hands with all patriotic citizens of Nigeria to force this government to drop this bad idea through enlightenment, persuasion and all other means to make sure this misplacement of priorities do not succeed.
