The Adamawa State Government wishes to register its profound gratitude to the people of the state for their continuous support and understanding especially at delicate moments such as the recent nationwide protests.

While other states were counting their losses in terms of human lives and colossal amounts worth of property, we in Adamawa were celebrating and being celebrated for peace, tranquility and harmony.

In a stetiment signed by chief Press Secretary to the Governor Humwashi Wonosikou on Thursday 12;08:2024, said “currently, we are yet again faced with plans by the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) to embark on another round of protests. Given the strong bond between Government and our youth, especially our students, we believe that the protests would be unnecessary in Adamawa State.

As government, we have been providing free education, free school feeding, paying WAEC/NECO Examination fees, paying scholarships, donated palliative items to schools and buses to institutions to ease transportation challenges.

We have invested heavily in other sectors such as Security, Health, Agriculture, Sports, Roads/Bridges, Water supply and so on, for the benefit of our youth and their parents. We are determined to ensure that no one is left behind and nothing is left untouched.

We urge you all, especially our youth, not to give room for miscreants and those that do not mean well for our state to unnecessarily create strife and confusion.

We call on our citizens to go about their lawful activities and our students to remain in school and pursue their academic responsibilities.

Our youths are our future. We shall continue to invest and trust in you. We trust you!
