A member house of representatives representing Birnin Magaji/Kaura Namoda federal constituency Zamfara north, hon. Aminu Sani Jaji, has described the local government autonomy include:
Improved service delivery: Local governments can respond to community needs more effectively.
Increased local revenue: Autonomy allows local governments to explore local revenue sources.
Economic growth and development: Local governments can invest in local economies and create jobs.
Enhanced community participation: Autonomy fosters community involvement in decision-making.
Better security and conflict resolution: Local governments can address local security concerns. Accountability and transparency: Autonomy ensures local governments are accountable to their constituents.

Honorable Sani Jaji made the declaration during a Public leatura and interaction session organized by the Zamfara State Student Association (ZAMSSA) Ahamd Bello University chapter on Saturday as guest speaker.

“Local governments can initiate projects addressing local needs.
Reduced poverty and inequality: Autonomy helps address local grievances, reducing poverty and inequality.
Improved infrastructure and amenities: Local governments can invest in local infrastructure.

“Empowerment of local leaders: Autonomy empowers local leaders to take ownership of development initiatives.
Decentralization of power: Autonomy promotes decentralization, reducing the burden on federal and state governments.

“Innovative solutions: Local governments can develop innovative solutions to local challenges.
Improved healthcare and education: Autonomy enables local governments to invest in local healthcare and education.
Environmental sustainability: Local governments can address local environmental concerns.
Disaster response and management: Autonomy enables local governments to respond to local disasters effectively.
By granting local governments autonomy, communities can enjoy these benefits, leading to improved overall well-being and development.
In the same vein, I will like to commend the organizers of this all important public lecture and the entire Management of the United for their unwavering support and commitments to ensuring the success of this programme.
My brothers and sisters, I want to emphasize the need to be good ambassadors of your family, university communication, the society and the country in general, particularly representing your institution of learning, which is now considered as one of profound university in the country.

Hon Jaji Said,Youths participation in governance is a symbol of future tomorrow, bringing about mentorship and Inclusivity. However, subversive agents seek to destroy to destroy your future and ruin our society by recruiting some of you to be irresponsible in your thinking.

I urged you to be responsible and sound in your reasoning, careful in dealing with issues affecting our well-being. Some individuals use social media to justify their actions, spreading lies to serve their interest.

“As some one from Zamfara state, I know the extent of the devastation in our state, with socioeconomic activities grinding to a halt due to inscecurity. We have come together to contribute to the development of our state and the nation.

Finally, I want to use this medium to comment on the planned nationwide protest which is not in the best interest of our region and the nation in general. Please don’t allow anyone to use you in the name of the protest. I acknowledge the hardship being experienced in the country but our leaders are working round the clock to address it through various interventions. Please shun any calls for protest.
