Trade Office Of Tsamiya Dry Port Kebbi Initiative Commission In Kano

The commissioning of the Business Relations Office between Nigeria and the Republic of Benin in Kano State will help to improve business in importing or exporting goods through the border of Tsamiya in Kebbi State.

The Comptroller General of the Nigerian Customs services Bashir Adewale Adeniyi stated this during the commission of the Kano trade office of Tsamiya dry Port Kebbi Initiative in Kano State.

The Comptroller General who was represented by ACG.Sambo Dangaladima said the business office was aim to ease and promote business between Nigeria and the Republic of Benin.

He emphasized the intention of the customs to improve the conduct of legitimate business by ensuring compliance with the law and border security.

He emphasized the resolution of the Nigerian Customs services to implement the Federal Government’s policies to achieve business and economic development.

He pointed out that the commissioning of the Kano trade office is an important step in the re-opening of the Tsamiya border in Kebbi state.”

“The office will regulate trade routes, and establish a strong export channel to support local industries.”

Dan Galadima said “This action is in line with the Federal Government’s policy of solving the food problem and strengthening economic relations in Nigeria and on its borders.”

The representative of the Comptroller General of the Republic of Benin, Idris Umar, praised the Nigerian andRepublic of Benin presidents for agreeing to this system to facilitate trade between the countries.

Commenting on the opening of the Kano trade office of Tsamiya dry Port Kebbi National chairman of Nigerian traders Association Alhaji Bature Abdul’azeez and the Chairman elders of Sabon gari and Singa Markets.Alhaji Ibrahim Danyaro commended the efforts made by Senator Isah Salihu of Benin Republic for the success of commission the office in Kano.

The ceremony was attended by senior officers of the Nigerian Customs services and representatives of the Republic of Benin and business leaders from Kano State and the whole country.
