Sen. Bukar Death: Is A Big Lost To Nigeria Politics- Former Media Aide

The death of first civilian governor of Yobe State, Sen. Bukar Abba Ibrahim is a big lost of politics, not only in Yobe, but the Nigeria at large.

This was disclosed by Immediate Special Adviser on Media and Public Affairs, Alhaji Ibrahim Jirgi, in a statement which was made available to Journalists in Damaturu, Yobe state capital.

Jirgi said, “I received a shocking news of demise of former Yobe state Governor, Sen. Bukar Abba Ibrahim in this evening from a family source.”

He described late Bukar Abba Ibrahim as the most humbled leader- Politician he has ever seen and worked with. “Very leveled Headed, down to us a very good political character.” Jirgi Added.

He died at a time when Nigerian political system is looking for such a brain, who gave his entire life to grassroot politicking, the media adviser to the late Gover over emphasized.

Sen. Bukar a former Commissioners for works and Housing in the old Borno State, was also a former first civilian governor of Yobe State from 1991-1993, elected as the executive Governor under a new political dispensation from 1999-2007 under APP/ANPP tickets.

He was in the senate chamber for two terms from 2007-2015. He left behind two wives and 9 Childrens and many grand Childrens. He has since been buried according to Islamic rites.

Governor Bukar Abba Ibrahim Died today in the Holy City of Mecca after a protracted illness at the age 74.
