The President of the Nigerian Labour Congress, NLC, Mr Joe Ajaero, says Governor Nasir Idris of Kebbi State has earned an excellent score card of performance in his one year in office.

Mr. Ajaero asserted this in Birnin Kebbi during an interaction with journalists in the course of his visit to the state.

“I was in Kebbi during the electioneering campaign, I was also in the state during at his swearing-in and now, I am here again after one year in office with a view to access his achievement as he clocked one year in office as elected governor”.

” I have seen the development on ground, even though the resources allocated to Kebbi state from the Federation Account are scarce, the governor has performed excellently well”, he said.

“By his good works, he is sending a signal to people to visit the state, most particularly foreign investors, and an enticement for other governors to follow suit,” the NLC leader explained”.

NLC President was happy that the governor has maintained prompt and regular payment of salaries, pensions and other emoluments to workers because of his humane nature.

“During my visit, I have visited the new modern state Secretariat Complex which is comparable to any edifice in the world.

” I have also seen the facelift on roads, including roundabouts and streetlights in the state capital executed by the governor.

” Both myself and Governor Nasir Idris were both deputy national presidents of the NLC. As a thoroughbred unionist, the Governor knows that labour creates wealth, which he has been doing in the state,” he said.

Ajaero implored other states’ governors to copy a leaf from his remarkable performance.
