In compliance with the provisions of PART IV Section 15 (1) of the Nigerian Institute of Leather and Science Technology (NILEST) Establishment ACT of 2023, the Honourable Minister of Innovation, Science and Technology Chief Uche Geoffrey Innaji has appointed seven new Principal Officers for the Institute with effect from 1st of August, 2024.
This was contained in a statement by the information and protocol officer of the institute, Mr Remi Bashorun. The statemen further explain that the news appointees and their Portfolios are: Mr. Ferdinand Nwachukwu Orji- Director, Administration and Services/Registrar, Builder Bukhu Joseph Bawa- Director, Physical Planning, Mallam Abubakar Suleiman- Director, Distance Learning and Accountant Toni Bidi- Director, Finance and Account/Bursar, Dr. Salisu Yahaya Mohammed- Director, Research and Development, others are Dr. Rose Chioma Obi- Institute Librarian and Engineer Bashir Sani- Director of Work s and Engineering Services.
Conveying the appointments on behalf of the Minister, and congratulating the Officers, Prof. Mohammed Kabiru Yakubu, the Director-General/CEO said, that he is of the hope that the new appointment will spur the Appointees to greater achievements in the services of the Institute and that of the Ministry of Innovation, Science and Technology in general.
